Randy Houdek is the general manager of Venture Communications Cooperative in Highmore, South Dakota, which serves approximately 13,500 access lines spread over 7,000 square miles. Under his leadership, Venture Communications provides dial-up and high-speed Internet access, cable TV services, and is the dominant long distance carrier in its service territory. Mr. Houdek also serves as president of the South Dakota Telephone Association, secretary of SDN Communications, director and former president of the Fiber Ring Revenue Pooling Association, and director of the Local Exchange Carrier Association and National Exchange Carrier Association.
