Chris Abetz assumed responsibilities as NRTC’s chief financial officer (CFO) in 1996. As CFO, Abetz is the primary strategic advisor to the chief executive officer with respect to financial reporting, financial growth and stability, and new business investments. Currently, Abetz is focused on evaluating new business opportunities and expanding current businesses to support the growth and development member business opportunities over the long term. Abetz joined NRTC’s senior management team in 1994 just prior to the launch of the direct broadcast satellite (DBS/DIRECTV) business. Before joining NRTC, he was a senior manager for ICF Kaiser International, Financial Systems Consulting Group, in Fairfax, VA. Abetz managed projects to implement performance improvements in financial systems and to conduct business process analysis and activity based costing to create efficiencies in client business operations. In addition to being a Virginia CPA, Abetz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting (with a concentration in information systems) from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. <back> |
